Arthur Wontner 完美地、毫厘不爽地再现了S.帕杰特（Sidney Paget） 插图中的HOLMES形象，是理想的SHERLOCK。
Arthur Wontner (1875-1960) was fifty-six when he first appeared as Holmes in the film The Sleeping Cardinal (1932}. He also played Holmes in The Sign of Four (1932), The Triumph of Sherlock Homes (1935) and Silver Blaze (1937). In 1943 he played Holmes in a BBC radio production of Boscombe Valley Mystery. In 1951, he appeared as Holmes on television as a part of the Festival of Britain.
Arthur Wonter is one of my favorite Sherlocks. He looks like the Holmes I see in my mind when I read the stories.
