神秘故事的艺术

Howard Haycraft因为著作两部侦探小说评论而名留青史，＜＜Murder For Pleasure＞＞在另一文章已经简略介绍过，另一部书＜＜The Art Of The Mystery Story＞＞发表在一九四六年，收集了五十三篇当时名推理作家的评论文，这是一部相当厚重的书，共五百多页。目前两部书皆已绝版，求购者只能把目标转向旧书店或二手市场，或到当地图书馆或大学碰碰运气。而且估计在短时之间国内也不会有翻译版本，因此这里我只能充其量列出一点简单的介绍，并无炫耀卖弄之意，天知道或许你看到了目录如此的丰富多彩，说不准你会不顾一切要找到它;)
这些文章让我看着心动，因此我很希望能把它介绍给更多的人认识，但有一个非常大的困难，由于有太多经典的文章和书籍了，我不能把它们全都翻译成中文，那不切实际，但单单扫成英文对大多数人读起来也是一种痛苦。如果我们能组织起来，将具影响力的经典妙文集中每人翻译一小部分，积少成多，那该多完美，一项科学研究在一台电脑上可能要运行一百年，但如果有一百部电脑那么问题一小时就解决了。琵吉网站上的站友们合力翻译婆婆的“黑咖啡”那种热情尤为让我感动不已。
我明白很多站友都是求学时期，没有太多时间，或只是一心想读一部好书，其他一概不理，那是可以理解和尊重的。只是，有时候有机会为其他推理迷带来一篇精彩的文章，同时也可以补充自己的知识，不也是一举两得吗:l
